This site is the product of my wife’s business and the Thirty Day Challenge (also known in twitter-space as #30dc) As such, part of the pre-season homework was to learn about Social Marker.
While I was at the Social Marker site, I noticed a section at the bottom of the page talking about code to add for your blog. Since I had a wordpress account I decided to give it a shot and document my progress. This post will be about how to set that up in word press it assumes that you are logged in as the wordpress administrator.
Step One – Click “Plugins” on “Edit Post” Screen![]()
Step Two – Search for “socialmarker” and press “Install” (all the way over at the right)
Finally, Step Three – Wait till the install is done, and then click “Activate Plugin” (and yes, I did miss getting the screen shot of the confirmation screen between steps two and three)

Ta-da, you are now done. You should now see the following icon at the bottom of all of your posts.
![]()
Now the tricky part is going to be figuring out how to get my screen shots to show up on the page the way I want them to. Stay tuned.
